Loads of people on Twitter are talking about last night's powerful anti knife-crime episode of Eastenders
BBC BBC
FOR A LONG time, knife-crime has been a massive issue in England’s capital city. In the last year, the number of murders and knife-related crimes in London has surged, with more people murdered in March 2018 than in any other month for more than a decade.
As many popular soap operas do, Eastenders decided to attempt to tackle the devastating issue in an episode, and many viewers were left in tears. One of the characters in Eastenders, Shakil Kazemi, was stabbed recently, and his funeral on the show took place last night.

In order to make this episode resonate with viewers, BBC based the plot on real life knife-crime incidents and finished the episode up with testimony from families who have lost their children to knife-crime.
Here are some of the family members who contributed to last night’s episode.
Some viewers may find this distressing.
